Himanshu Upadhyaya (Policy Researcher)
Ashish joined Manthan Adhyayan Kendra, Pune in March 2019 and is currently studying the impacts of coal mining on Water resources. He holds a Masters’ degree in Water Policy and Governance (2016-18) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Ashish is interested in working on Water pollution, drinking water in both urban and rural aspect, Groundwater Management, Sanitation, irrigation, Traditional water laws and rights. He has interned with Megh Pyne Abhiyan, New Delhi (2017), an NGO working on Groundwater management and Sanitation in Bihar. He was one of the coordinators of the very First edition of Water Talk series in 2017 organised at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

आशीष ने मुंबई स्थित टाटा सामाजिक विज्ञान संस्थान से स्नातकोत्तर की डिग्री, वॉटर पॉलिसी और गवर्नेंस (2016-2018) में प्राप्त की है| वे मंथन अध्ययन केंद्र से मार्च 2019 में जुड़ें| आशीष, जल प्रदूषण, भूगर्भीय जल प्रबंधन, शहरी एवं ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में पीने का पानी, सैनीटेशन, परंपरागत जल के अधिकार एवं उनसे जुड़े नियम कानूनों एवं कृषि सिचाई से संबंधित मुद्दों पर काम करने में दिलचस्पी रखते हैं| आशीष बिहार स्थित मेघ पाइन अभियान में इनटर्न (2017) रह चुके हैं जो की बिहार के बाढ़ प्रभावित इलाको में भूगर्भीया जल, पीने के पानी एवं सैनीटेशन के मुद्दों पर काम करता है | वे टाटा सामाजिक विज्ञान संस्थान, मुंबई में हर साल होने वाले वॉटर टॉक सिरीज़ 2017 (पहला संस्कारण ) के मुख्य संयोजकों में से एक थे |
